St. Luke’s University Hospital Network, a general medical and surgical hospital in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, has selected LogicJunction’s LJWay Digital Wayfinding solution for their campus.
Custom designed kiosks displaying easy-to-read indoor maps, step-by-step directions, destination lookups, event information and digital signage are available. Each kiosk features a full-sized campus map along with two 32 inch touch screen displays. Visitors have the option to send the directions to their phone or take a printout with them.
The LJWay Digital Wayfinding solution exists in the cloud, allowing our software to be accessed from any computer. Staff can now give each patient walking directions to their next destination along with any other medical paperwork.
Another advantage of our software running in the cloud is that it is accessible from any device, including phones and tablets, with no app to install. Simply navigate to SLHN.YourDirectRoute.com and Google Maps will provide GPS guided driving directions to the hospital. After you have parked, follow the walking directions on your phone or tablet to your destination. These directions can also be printed from home.
Some visitors arrive at the hospital without knowing their destination. The kiosk allows visitors to look up destinations by the name of their doctor, room or department. Some visitors may have difficulty spelling ‘endocrinologist’ or the name of their doctor, so a more personal touch is required. A phone directory on the kiosk allows visitors to call a hospital representative that will look up their information and guide them to their destination, even if all they know is their own name.
Navigating from location to location from within the hospital has been redesigned from the ground up to eliminate confusion and frustration. In conjunction with all new static signage provided by Gregory Blue and Associates and an integrated QR Code system built into their signage, St. Luke’s is providing their patients with the best wayfinding guidance around.
